Kristin Seymour, MSN, RN, AHCNS-BC, is a board certified Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with ADHD. Kristin consults with colleagues, ADHD patients and parents of children with ADHD regarding factors needed to be successful with ADHD.

Kristin currently works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Washington University and Barnes- Jewish Heart & Vascular Center in St. Louis. Kristin received her B.S. from Valparaiso University and her M.S. from Purdue University before entering the nursing profession. During a brief return to Northwest Indiana in the middle of her career, Kristin was also an associate professor at her alma mater Valparaiso University. Her passion for teaching and helping others has also fueled her recent work with individuals diagnosed with ADHD. Her consulting work with ADHD patients was borne of the success of her 2016 book The Fog Lifted: A Clinician’s Victorious Journey with ADHD (#CommissionsEarned), which reached #1 on the Amazon bestseller list in the book’s sub-category.

Kristin is active at the state level informing and educating legislators, community leaders, and high school students about the dangers of vaping and gateway drugs. Kristin presents at international forums about ADHD, Sudden Cardiac Events, Vaping, and other mental and physical health topics.  In addition to being a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC), Kristin is a contributor and podcaster for ADDitude magazine.  Her other memberships include Distraction, Attention Deficit Disorder Association.org (ADDA.org) and Children and Adults with ADHD (CHADD).  Kristin has authored numerous articles, podcasts and other media related to mental health and cardiology.

Kristin enjoys weight-training, traveling, brushing up on her piano skills, and spending time with her family and friends. She resides in suburban St. Louis with her husband Jim and their two daughters, Katherine and Madeline.
