Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a biological condition characterized by symptoms of inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. Prescribed medication, including stimulants and non-stimulants, can have a positive effect in reducing ADHD symptoms in children and teens, as well as adults.
This hour-long webinar will offer an overview of the biological basis of ADHD and its clinical characteristics, and it will provide an overview of the stimulants and non-stimulants used in ADHD treatment.

Meet the Expert Speaker
Dr. Joseph Biederman is Chief of the Clinical and Research Programs in Pediatric Psychopharmacology and Adult ADHD at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Director of the Alan and Lorraine Bressler Clinical and Research Program for Autism Spectrum Disorders at MGH, and the MGH Trustees Endowed Chair in Pediatric Psychopharmacology. He is a professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Biederman is Board Certified in General and Child Psychiatry.
He has been the recipient of the American Psychiatric Association Blanche F. Ittleson Award for Excellence in Child Psychiatric Research, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Charlotte Norbert Rieger Award for Scientific Achievement. He has been inducted into the CHADD “Hall of Fame.”
