Host of The Daily Show
When Jon Stewart retired from the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning The Daily Show in 2015, few people had heard of his hand-selected replacement, Trevor Noah. Today, the 38-year-old South African comedian is a household name — and an entertainment juggernaut in his own rite.
Aside from hosting the 2022 Grammy Awards, Noah has extended his Back to Abnormal comedy tour through 2022 and debuted his stand-up special Trevor Noah: Lost in Translation on Comedy Central. Rumors are also surfacing that he may take over for James Corden as host of The Late Late Show on CBS.
Noah also recently shared his personal struggle with ADHD and depression in a CBS interview with Leslie Stahl.
“What I've come to learn, thanks to some great therapists, is my depression is created by a severe level of ADHD,” Noah said. “If I'm not careful in how I sleep, how I eat, how I manage my routine, I can become overwhelmed and it can feel like the whole world is just too heavy to bear.”
Depression and ADHD often co-occur and, when they do, the symptoms of each condition are more acutely experienced. It’s estimated that adults with ADHD are 2.7 times more likely to have depression than the general adult population.
