Talking About ADHD

Sharing Eliminates Stigma

Openness about a child’s learning differences educates others to educate your child effectively.

I am very open about my son’s ADHD.

I explain that he learns differently, and that our society is not set up to accommodate the way he learns — in much the same way that products designed for right-handed people present difficulties for those who are left-handed. We do not consider left-handed people abnormal — we recognize that differences create problems in certain situations.
