Outlining a term paper helps you organize, prioritize, and ultimately, create a polished piece.

In general, an outline should include an introductory paragraph, the body of the paper (in which the main points are developed), and a conclusion.

Title – The Top Three Reasons Animals Prefer Spring Break in the Sahara

I. Introduction/Thesis – “In this paper we’ll look at the top three reasons that the Sahara Desert makes an excellent vacation spot for wildlife.”

  • Main Point – The plentiful sunshine helps snakes get great tans.
  • Main Point – It’s the number-one social spot for wealthy camels.
  • Main Point – Large cacti can easily be converted into predator-proof condos.

II. Conclusion and Catchy Take-Away – The Sahara: It May Be Hot, But It’s the Coolest Place to Visit!
