My son, now 19 years old, has been in recovery for six months. He is no longer able to take Ritalin/Concerta given the prior abuse of these and other substances. He is trying out Strattera. Can you talk about what the options are (prescription as well as supplements) for the person in recovery; and do the non-stimulant drugs really work or how do you know if they are working?
What about addictions to electronics? My 12 year old is addicted to his chromebook/3DS/computer. He has a chromebook for school but does not have free access to any other electronics. It is a huge fight every night to get his chromebook from him. He cannot disconnect from it. How do I help him when electronics run our lives now and he cannot just avoid their use? Thank you.

This woman owns the wisdom of the ages when it comes to general issues of child-wrangling. Her work contains multitudes and I use all of her techniques with the general run of boisterous children and also with those children with ADHD, with good results. (I’m not affiliated).
