I will not be able to attend the webinar but I have registered so I can watch it later. My husband, our daughter, and I have ADHD and as an LPC, I specialize in treating adolescents and young adults with ADHD. I ofti work closely with a psychologist who does testing a educational testing and diagnosing and I often get reports stating that my ADHD clients have weak fine motor skills. I know there is a link between the fine motor skill weakness and the ADHD diagnosis and I believe that strengthening fine motor skills may alleviate symptoms of ADHD. But I can’t find any research on this or on how to apply it to the adolescent and young adult population. Can you point me to some research on this or talk a bit about strategies for strengthening fine motor skills in this population and how this may impact symptoms?
Thank you for this webinar! It’s difficult to find an OT who will take an older client, and by “older”, I mean “out of elementary school”. I look forward to using these techniques myself and passing them along to my ADHD teen.
Do you supply a certificate for OT CEU’s and how many would this qualify for in NYS?
Thank you
