I know this says the webinar is specifically for children but I’ve been doing a lot of research on nutrition and diets for adults with ADHD/ADD and I have 2 questions. One that can be applicable to both children and adults and another that is more geared towards adults…The one for adults: 1) How much caffeine per day is a reasonable range for an adult with ADHD? And something more for ADHD’rs of all ages: 2) What are the best sugar substitutes to use for those of us with ADHD and/or how much real sugar should we try and max out at each day?
Thanks so much!
I have an interest especially in regards to supplementing where my son is lacking nutrients from his diet. He has a sadly short list of foods he will eat. Maybe due to sensory issues he will nearly gag around most cook foods and Very rarely eats vegetables or fruit. The best chances will be having something palatable mixed (hidden) in something he will drink or sweet snack. Vitamin gummies and the fish oil swirls have sugar, but he’ll take them. That would not take care of things like iron, fiber, protein and other minerals. A dr. recommended Carnation breakfast, but I want better quality (plus he won’t drink it). Is there something you recommend? ( My son’s picky eating is very unlikely ‘a phase’.)
What suggestions do you have with regards to food & nutrition for kids with ADHS when they also have SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder)?
