My son is a young high school graduate, July birthday, with ADD. He is having problems deciding on a major and is leaving university to go to community college to get his basics. We are fine with that but want to know how do we support him.
Also, he is not motivated at all to get a job. Is that too much to expect him to juggle school (12 hours or so) with a part time job?
I tried to answer this question during the webinar, but in case you did not get a chance to tune in, when kids I work with need to take time off from college the trifecta is usually therapy, work, and classes at a community college. These kids want to get back to school, so they are willing to comply. Your situation is a little different, so you might not have as much leverage but your son might get a lot out of working.
