  1. Hi – I have a comment /question before the webinar. Can you please address
The bigger problem with schools and adhd ? What I mean is – I feel that if teachers and administrators were educated on adhd and schools were mandated – I’m talking primarily public school system- to provide adhd accommodations in all classrooms for all students then we wouldn’t need to even have these discussions. For example when I researched schools for kids with adhd for my son I couldn’t stop thinking that if our public schools could be set up like these adhd schools it could benefit all kids. I’m certain Fewer kids would need to access special ed services if schools put the money up front into designing them to support all learners. Proactive instead of reactive. Its not too different from implementing preventive medicine. After 18 years of dealing with my special needs son I have come to the conclusion that as a community we should be focusing our efforts on changing how our children, and their teachers, are educated in this country. We need to make education as much a priority as universal health care. We need to turn the system upside down and we HAVE to make teaching as respected a profession as doctors and ‘professional athletes’.
