On the page with the title: OWNER’S MANUAL EXAMPLES There were some strategies listed, beginning with Implementer-finisher partner. He explained one or two of those in the QA session, but where can I find info to explain the others? Thanks! 🙂
First off, I love ADDitude so much, I cannot find the words to say how appreciative I am for having this resource. My question is if ADHD is genetic and I and for sure my brother have it, and many others as well, then why do I feel so alone? I feel like I am the only one battling this. I feel like I am not fully loved for who I am, I feel like an outsider, an alien, stupid, lazy. I can’t even relate to people who have ADHD. I suppose it doesn’t help that I also have Generalized Anxiety. I am not the classic ADHD type. It just feels like I am all alone.
I am by no means a success story, but I have learned that ADHD is a type of person, and it is super important to fearlessly be yourself. I gave up working on the symptoms instead, I am working on the effects of those systems, the feelings basically and other artifacts. I feel a person needs to accept their ADHD, and learn to live with it. The hard part is, of course, the symptoms, but what hurts me the most is society and Neuro-typical people. I just sort of spit that out, I hope that can help other people.
Nathan: I would be interested in you further describing what you mean by: “I gave up working on the symptoms instead, I am working on the effects of those systems, the feelings basically and other artifacts.” Not to critique it, but to hear your coping strategies.
I of course failed to register on time..but getting better. Started meds, found one that works (vyvanse) It seems I have more abilities now,and almost all of them are used to procrastinate. How do I prevent myself from falling into distraction, when all those systems are broken?
HI, Is difficulty with insight part of ADD? Also, please give specific suggestions on how explain to the psychiatrist and how to help the dysphoria that we can bring to the doctor. My husband is taking Adderall, Tenex, Prozac, Effexor, and gabapentin and, although improved, continues to have difficulty with emotional overresponsivenes, aggression, and dysphoria. How do we know if there is an element of Asperbergers? Thank you.
I mean Aspberger’s.
Hello,
I have a question I hope the presenter can address during the webinar regarding motivation. How can I motivate my 15-year-old son, who has ADHD, to “take ownership” of his condition and try ways to improve his life? I have offered so many resources, but he doesn’t seem interested in knowing more about why he acts and reacts the way he does. I’m afraid he’s starting to use ADHD as an excuse and a crutch. Thank you.
Hello. I have a question about flooding. Before I knew what it was, my husband exhibited flooding for years. It continues even now that he has an ADHD diagnosis, despite being on Vyvanse, and is a significant stressor in our marriage. What are the best treatments (either pharmacological or otherwise) for flooding?
Excuse my ignorance, what is “flooding” in the context of ADHD? I have never heard of that before. Thank you.

So, are you saying anyone will be able to access the replay? Because another place it says you must register to access the replay, so I’m trying to make sure I will be able to see it sometime! Thank you.
Check back two hours after the webinar ends and you will be able to register for the replay.
Hi I can’t register either. 3
Myself as well! Is there a list for possible openings? Could I access the replay option at a later time? Thank you.
Hi I was wondering if anyone can tell me why I’m not able to register for this webinar? I’m logged in and I have followed links from my email notification. I haven’t tried to register for a webinar before so I might have missed something. I’m in Australia if that makes a difference. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Melissa
I have 3 children the older one (now 18) has ADD inatentive type and LD he is medicated and the middle (now 15)is ADHD non medicated and is academically inclined but has no interest. Our youngest is in gr 1 and has not been formerly diagnosed with ADD/ADHD but does suffer from anxiety disorder. We are having the most trouble with our middle child as he seems more emotional and withdrawn. You decribe is demonor to a T in this webinar. He refuses to be medicated but I feel the stratigies we have developed over the years are not working for him in his school environment anymore. Would home schooling help as that is something we are strongly concidering?
Hi Melissa! Please try to register again. There was a glitch in the system that has been fixed. Thanks!

Why send an e-mail asking us to register, so we get a page that says the webinar is full? I am confused.
The webinar filled as the email went out unfortunately. The good news is that you will be able to access the replay 2 hours after the webinar ends. Please plan to come back to this page at that time and you will be able to listen to the entire replay.
