As a board-certified pediatric neuropsychologist I am quite dismayed at all of the false information that was publicly distributed by Dr. Brown regarding neuropsychological assessments.
Hello, school psychologist indicates that learning disabilities usually are apparent to teachers early on. Our daughter did well in school until about 7th grade and now is having much difficulty. Would it be valuable to have her tested now even though she did well early on? She’s in 10th grade now. She dislikes reading and is having much difficulty with math and motivation now. Could this be an ADHD issue that we should test for?
Failed to receive diagnosis for my 8 year-old recently. Her teacher surveys had 4 of 8 positive markers and QB test was only positive for impulsivity. A NEBA scan has been suggested as a next step. Any advice on whether the scan would be worthwhile? Or should I just be seeking a 2nd opinion elsewhere?
