Can we please stop using the term “medication” to describe drugs? Medicines heal. Drugs numb feelings and mask symptoms..that’s it. That’s all these “treatments” do. They don’t solve anything. This is the kind of article that infuriates me the most. The false assumption is that medication always works, but ADHDers are too stupid to take it. It completely ignores the enormous elephant in the room, that medication sometimes brings no symptom relief. Or, if it does, it comes at the cost of serious side effects. Some people try medication after medication, for years, even decades, with no relief. It’s not that uncommon; Dr. Charles Parker made a career out of helping such people. Unfortunately, he’s retired, and everyone else simply ignores the problem.
