My. Son NEVER slept longer than 3 hours at a time during every night, until almost age 2. As my 3rd child, I can say that it wasn’t because I lacked experience in sleep training as a parent. He continued to play, read, and. Whatever else he found interesting during the night, (flashlight under the coVers despite taking away lights and strict consequences) through elementary, middle, and high school and could be impossible to wake up in the morning. At almost age 30, he’s still a night owl. He works afternoon through evening now.
