How can you not feel bad about yourself when you simply cannot do what others do? How can you not get frustrated with yourself when your always forgetting important things etc? You can, it took me a long time but once I understood adhd I forgave myself and am extremely patient. If I forget something it’s not a big deal, if I don’t get something done I ll do it eventually. In order to survive mentally you can’t get mad, you just have to brush it off and realize you didn’t do it on purpose. In this process you do develop an extreme amount of patience and compassion for yourself and other people and that’s not something everyone has, so that is something very positive that can come out of this.
