How can you write “Traditional discipline doesn’t typically work… effective treatment for ODD usually focuses on the positive: rewarding good behavior, refusing to engage in arguments, and building self-esteem” and then follow up with the usual useless parenting tips around, essentially “better, stronger, harder penalties”?! I came here for help, not yet another round of mother blame
I too seem to have been on this road since birth and I’m hoping cognitive behavioral therapy is going to help us.
