  1. The problem is that even after I recognize this in myself and do what I can to mitigate it, I am still actually rejected by a society designed by and for neurotypical people. This has real consequences from stable housing to educational opportunities. Articles like this are vital for a step in the ADHD journey — but there’s this MASSIVE drop off between individual coping strategies and avoiding actual (mostly unintentional I’m guessing) persecution by our ignorant societies. We ADHDers have a lot to offer but our way of being is fundamentally rejected in both European and American culture (I’m sure there’s more places this is true, but that’s as far as my ADHD communities extend)
