I’m oversensitive in opposing ways. Some noises irritate the heck out of me (but no rage) and some are extremely relaxing and sensual. There are those of us that respond very positively – including me – to ASMR sounds (Autonomous Sensory Response Meridian) with scalp tingles and muscle relaxation. I sleep to them!
To follow up with my previous comment, which I cannot edit, I wanted to add that the reason Misophonia is so enraging is because I feel as if it has hijacked my attention and I am stuck without control of my own mind.
I have both Misophonia and ADD and I totally thought the Misophonia was another symptom of ADD.
