Is ADHD Genetic? Yes and No

What causes ADHD? Is it a genetic or hereditary condition? Influenced by culture and environment? What about nutrition? We don’t know for certain what causes attention deficit, but medical research points to genetic and neurological explanations for symptoms exacerbated by some external factors.

How the hell is the nicotine in cigarettes, an addictive STIMULANT that many mother’s imbibe during pregnancy not listed as a household toxin and potential cause?! This seems misleading and suspicious at best.

Genetics works on many levels. If your children can ‘have your smile’ they can also ‘have your ADHD’. No guarantees good or bad. Don’t feel bad about it; just do the best you can.
