Please revise this article to include updated terminology (Aspergers is part of ASD and no longer a diagnosis) and please include a disclaimer regarding the controversy related to ABA (applied behavior analysis) and what autistic adults say about the harm this type of “therapy” has caused, including PTSD. Not all ABA is traumatic, but enough is to warrant a disclaimer.

  2. My son is 10 years old. He has ADHD and also ASD. He is currently in a psychiatric hospital. Cause I have asked for over a year to get him help and know would help him or myself. It took me 6 years to get a ASD diagnosis. I dont want him to have to stay in the hospital. Can anyone help me with my son.

  3. I am an adult with a comorbid diagnosis of ADHD and ASD and I can tell you that my biggest issue, besides my working memory impairment and slow processing speed, is that they conflict. My ADHD requires stimulation and my sensory issues can’t handle it, so it is very hard. Also, it took me a really long time to learn to recognize when I am having mind blindness.
