My son is finishing up his freshman year in high school. The school and society push college, but if he continues on his current trajectory, he will not succeed there. My husband and I are being honest with him that college is not his best step immediately after high school, but what are the options? Our son is not motivated about anything. I don’t want him to feel that if he can’t go to college, he is a failure.
