  1. I identify with each of these stories so much! I was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD about a year ago at age 53. I told people that the diagnosis and learning more about it was “illuminating”. Knowing why I’ve made many of the choices that I have; reacted so strongly and disproportionately to many things; and the constant self-bashing while everyone else thinks I’m a success allowed me to forgive myself a bit. I still cry sometimes thinking back and wishing I had known. Assembling the right tool kit has been difficult when you are a busy adult with a professional life, but I’m working on it.
