So…a list of problems, but where was the “a woman with ADD explains how she uses Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other online platforms more carefully” part from the description? Another underwhelming and overhyped article from ADDitude.
God Bless you for self-advocating! As a “normie” with a friend with ADHD I would have loved to know about his ADHD and conversational needs and idiosyncracies earlier on in our friendship. It would have made things so much easier for both of us.
*sigh* this is me all over! my online presence is turbulent at best. I’m pretty sure that there are people who try to engage with me but I miss the social cue’s altogether. some aspects I’m hypersensitive to but the rest I’m clueless and end up demolishing the tower of blocks to the ground. I then disappear for ages because I don’t know how to deal with it and then just get distracted and don’t think to go back to it.
other times I fixate on a narrow range of social media/groups which inevitably results in a repeat cycle eventually.
my social life is limited so even though this generates more anxiety than enjoyment, I still seek it out for as long as it lasts.
You sound hilarious. Normies just arent fast enough to catch our humor.
i used to be that way age has changed me and i am more open and just give my thoughts .. sometimes just to get peoples reactions . yes im bad. cant help it.
Me too 😄
You just wrote a whole article that could be describing me. Hell, I’m just one son and a legitimate writing career away from being a damn near carbon copy of you. Thank you for helping me see that I am not alone. I feel really lucky to have come across your article today. ❤️
