Outrageous and disgusting that anywhere in 21st century America any young person, and in particular and unbelievably those who are disabled, are beaten with wooden weapons in our public schools. These rural schools dotted mostly across the redneck mid/south of our nation, continue their backward draconian traditions and culture of violence. Every segment of our society (including convicted felons) are protected by federal laws from assault, Except school students. Without laws to prevent and criminalize these acts it will go on and on unless there are courageous people to come forward and challenge the “Educated ignorant” that allow this to happen. The thousands of victims of this violence and parents must speak out and come forward to challenge these human and civil rights violations. 31 states have outlawed this abuse with North Carolina school districts stopping this in September 2018, and it is past time for ALL forms of violence to end in our the schools of our country.
