  1. One of the things that I would like to see further refined is the understanding that simply providing extended time may not actually be all that helpful for ADHD students in math. It’s been my experience that ADHD students would benefit more from an implementation of extended time that allows them to “reset” after completing an exam so that they can re-engage the exam at a later time with “fresh eyes.”

The problem is that most schools will not allow a student to walk away from a test and re-engage it later for fear of cheating. I understand this concern, yet I am wholly unconvinced that simply extending the time for an ADHD student is the appropriate “level-playing field” accommodation.
