So our family is new to this and by and large I have enjoyed reading the articles and tips presented in these articles. So first off thank you.
One thing that struck me as odd is that while you are giving advice for folks struggling with a ADHD you would think folk lore wouldn’t be a suggestion. I was surprised to see that eating turkey is a recommendation for falling asleep because it has tryptophan in it. While turkey does in fact contain it, it is not in any quantity higher than most other poultry or fish. Even if it were SUPER high in it, science has shown that overeating at thanksgiving, not turkey, is the cause of the sleepiness that most people associate with turkey.
So keep up the good work on helping people like me learn the ropes of helping a child with ADHD but also please leave the folklore and scientifically proven false ideas to the side. They at best give people a worthless remedy to try, and at worst chip away at the credibility of the rest of your work.
