Medication After School?
“My husband wants our 11-year-old son to be ‘covered’ by medication all day long, but I think he needs it only for the school day. What do you recommend?”

There is no magic rule. The best approach is probably to consider the demands of all the activities in which your son participates — and that goes for weekend activities as well as for sports and other after-school activities. If his symptoms keep him from being at his best in any given situation, he should probably be covered by medication at that time.
