Growing Up, Speaking Out
One mother takes pride in her daughter’s advocacy of ADHD and bullying.
My daughter, Rachel, has struggled with ADHD since she was a toddler. In 2003, at age 11, she testified at an Ohio legislative forum about her academic troubles. Today, she is a member of the Adult and Youth Speaker’s Bureau, and visits public schools to talk about ADHD and bullying. I’m so proud that she has found her voice and is helping others who struggle with ADHD.
