Preparing to Meet Your New Physician
What you should consider before you see a doctor about ADHD.
Come with a list of questions that you want to discuss at the time of the visit, as well as your specific concerns. The more specific you can be, the more your physician can address your question. If, for example, you are certain you have ADHD because you’ve met numerous criteria and have already taken some of the basic questionnaires or tests, bring them with you to your appointment. Usually, your physician will be glad to review these to determine if you are on the right track with your assessment of your disorder.
