Does anyone know what the zinc dosage is for ADHD children? I can’t seem to find any conclusive guidance. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, you might want to look at this article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20034331.

It says near the end of the article that “A study of ADHD treatment with zinc sulfate as a supplement to methylphenidate showed beneficial effects of zinc supplementation in the treatment of children with ADHD. The dose of zinc sulfate used was 55 mg/day, which is equivalent to 15 mg zinc.”

Zinc, magnesium citrate and OPCs such as blueberry extract have really worked well for my girl with adhd. It took almost 3 months, but a noticeable difference. She stopped meds. I know everyone’s chemistry & growth are different. But we followed this plan after watching Dr. Barkley’s presentation somewhere on this site.
      Zinc 15 mg/day, mag citrate (not oxide) 400 mg/day
