How different is the simple Adderall to Adderall XR and how do they function in our body for the treatment of ADHD?

Which one is more efficient then other?

There’s Adderall IR and Adderall XR. IR is immediate release, also called short-acting, and XR is extended release or long acting. IR releases all the medication at once and last approximately 4 hours, so it’s taken 2+ times a day. XR is taken once a day and is designed to last longer.
