I’m trying to limit my sugar intake to see if it helps with my attention and learning. I was looking at some sugar free syrup and it says it has sorbitol in it instead of sugar. I know that some artificial sugars aren’t good to use, especially for someone with LD. I looked it up online and couldn’t find anything about sorbitol and LD. Any input?

This article says if you need something sweet, then look for sorbitol.

I personally don’t tolerate products ending with “ol”, like sorbital, erythritol, xylitol, and such. A little bit of “alcohol”. I prefer organic sugar, or coconut sugar which has lower glycemic index and sometime stevia though I am careful with that.
I prefer anything natural and find it easier on my system overall. Otherwise, I get GI and cognitive symptoms, including increased distractability. I think my son does too.
      Good luck
