Hello! I am going to send an email to my pediatrician, for help talking to my parents about ADHD, but I have no idea where to start. My goal is to have her help me talk with my parents (and her) about ADHD, but haven’t emailed her before, and only see her once a year. How do I even start? What should I say? How long is too long?

      Thanks,

I would keep it as brief as possible because doctors are typically very busy. I would introduce yourself so she may remember you from past appointments. Then let her know that you suspect you may have ADHD but your parents are closed to the idea. Then ask if she can help you talk to them.

I imagine she will want you to schedule an appointment to talk in person.
