I’ve been on Metadate for my ADHD for a few years now and it hasn’t seemed to be increasing my focus. I looked it up online and it lags far behind Adderall in both popularity and reported effectiveness. So, I’m a little confused why my doctor (a.k.a. my regular pediatrician) decided that this was the best drug to prescribe me. I’m a high school male by the way, but I was prescribed this drug while in middle school. Anyone want to offer some insight?

Some doctors just prefer certain medications because they know more about them. If you don’t feel that it’s working for you, set an appointment to discuss that with your doctor.
