I’ve been wondering is this related to ADHD? Whenever I’m sad, I just brush it off trying to make others happy. But you can’t keep the sadness at bay forever. So when it hits (when I’m alone) it hits HARD. It breaks me. I can’t stop trying not to be sad for my friends though. Anyone else struggle with this?
Sounds like you may bottle up your feelings until you can’t contain them anymore. I also wonder if you have social anxiety, which can cause you to give your all to others, sacrificing your own needs, or cause you to not share your own stuff because you worry how it will be interpreted and judged by others.
