I would like to do some more background reading about ADD and ADHD. I find that articles do not provide enough details so I am looking for some books that do go into detail. Any recommendations?

Here’s a list of recommended reading for parents of kids with ADHD from ADDitude:
My top picks are:
The Explosive Child, Ross Greene (or his new title, Raising Human Beings)
Superparenting for ADD, Edward Hallowell
ADDitude Community Moderator, Author & Trainer on Parenting ADHD, Mom to teen w/ ADHD, LDs, and autism

I found the following book very informative.
How to Succeed as a Hunter in a Farmer’s World
Author: Thom Hartmann
In my opinion ADHD is not a mental illness, neurological disorder or a character flaw. It is a genetic difference in brain wiring. We are not defective we are different.
