Ok so I just started taking Adderall 10mg immediate release a week ago. The past few days after I drink coffee and take my pill, about 1 hour later I get really dizzy and lightheaded. Can anyone relate?

Don’t do it. My doctor told me not to mix caffeine and stimulant medication. They act against one another and can effect the heart.

Caffeine is also a stimulant. By taking your stimulant medication with coffee, you’re essentially amplifying it, which is likely the reason for your dizziness. Try decaf or no coffee for a couple days and see if that eliminates the dizziness. If not, discuss it with your prescribing doctor ASAP.

That happened to me also when I first started on Adderal years ago. I slowly gave up coffee. * years later I usually have a good size cup of coffee every day. I would imagine my body is pretty used to the amphetamines by now but Id wait like 6 months to build up your tolerance. If coffee is something you don’t want to give up.

You might get a little cranky and get a slight headache from the withdrawal. Just a heads up.

I used to take 10MG IR, and drink a cup of coffee, and use nicotine pouches. Terrible combination. I didn’t know it was bad for me until I was in my psychiatrist’s office one morning and he took my blood pressure and pulse and told me to stop doing that.

fast forward, I stopped taking adderall, and cut out nicotine, but that’s not helpful with ADD, so I cut the pill in half now and take 5mg. I find that while I’m on it, and have coffee (even a small amount), my heart rates gets up in the 90’s while resting. As I’m tryping this I’m hovering around 94-97.

I’m going to try again tomorrow but without coffee, which is hard for me because I love coffee. Does anyone else experience this? I can’t imagine how some people take 30-60mg of Adderall. I feel like I’d go through a wall. My cardiologist said to keep taking adderall, but even a small amount still increases my resting heart rate. So I feel like it can’t be healthy long term.

Question mainly is, how do people react to Adderall? pulse, and how with adderall and coffee.

      thanks!

I’ve actually found that if I’m jittery/anxious, it’s because the Adderall is wearing off, or at a dose no longer sufficient. When I take my afternoon dose, I start to feel much more calm and relaxed. Is that unusual?
