I was wondering if anyone else had problems with their sleep and/or felt they did not need as much sleep? If so is this part of ADHD? I have for years since I was a kid have never been able to sleep through the night and at most get 6hours of sleep. My husband goes to bed before me and is still asleep when I am up and moving. Is this a common symptom of ADHD. I am newly diagnosed this last year and was wondering if others also feel they don’t need as much sleep.

      Hi
Yes I have had the same problem for years.

Sometimes I stay up till 4am, sleep for 3-4 hours and function perfectly fine the next day.

Other times I sleep for longer than usual and find my self exhausted the next day.

My brain does the opposite of a neurotypical brain.
