Stimulants work right away. If you’re not seeing benefits within a few days, you’re likely not going to on that med. There are two types of stimulants: amphetamine (Adderall, Vyvanse, Evekeo…) and methylphenidate (Ritalin, Concerta, Quillivant…). Almost everyone does well on one type or the other, but not both.You’ve tried one medication in each category without success. That doesn’t mean none will work for you, but you could be in the 20% that stimulant medications don’t work for.
