I am FLOORED that a therapist told you to take a Schedule II prescription medication not prescribed to you. That’s reckless at best, and certainly dangerous and quite illegal. And that medication might not be the right one for you — so it could look like it didn’t work and conclude that you don’t have ADHD when you actually might. You DEFINITELY need to find a new therapist ASAP.
Follow your gut regarding diagnosis. Find a new clinician. Keep at it until you get answers you’re confident in (where that’s a yes or a no to ADHD).
