Did You Hear the One About the Child with ADHD Who Talks Too Much?
Having children with ADHD play outdoors is good for their symptoms — and for one mom, a chance to get a break from her daughter’s loud talking!

I’m thrilled that spring is here, and Natalie can spend so much more time playing outside. I’ve found that, somehow, the same childhood attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) behaviors that would drive me crazy inside the house are no problem when Nat’s outside.
For example, the other day Natalie’s older brother Aaron came into the kitchen at suppertime, and, through the open windows, heard Natalie playing outside.
“Harry’s here again?” he asked. Nat’s best friend Harry had come over to play the last two days running, and now, Aaron I were listening in on a very loud two-way conversation.
“No, Harry isn’t here. Nat’s making all that noise by herself!” I answered.
