Dr. Susan Ciardiello received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland, her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University and her Ph.D. from Yeshiva University, Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She has written a book on group work with children, a book on group work with adolescents, as well as book chapters. She has facilitated workshops and presentations at the national and international level. Her practice as an ADHD coach and psychotherapist includes working with children and adolescents (grades 6 and up), college students, and adults. Issues she addresses include ADHD and executive functioning challenges, grief and loss, job/work/school stress, social skills, interpersonal relationship difficulties, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, adoption, and family building losses. Dr. Ciardiello's approach to psychotherapy is eclectic, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and psychoeducational models. She has been in practice for over twenty-five years.
Dr. Ciardiello has been on the Board of Directors and is a member of the International Association for Social Work with Groups (IASWG). She has been an active member of CHADD, NASW, and has subscribed to ADDitude magazine for many years.
