Rob Surratt, Assistant Vice President with State Street Bank, is an accomplished Workforce Development and Inclusion and Diversity professional. Rob’s successful career reflects his passion and commitment to the transformational impact that an understanding and focus on diversity and inclusion can have within an organization and culture. As a member of the Global Inclusion Team, Rob currently leads the Workforce Development programs at State Street and the Inclusion Learning efforts for 40,000+ employees. Rob also is responsible for the strategy for disability in North America working with the Disability Awareness Alliance Employee Network to champion disability inclusion across the enterprise.
Prior to State Street, Rob had over 10 years of successful relationship management experience in the non-profit, start-up and quasi-governmental arenas. His experience includes: recruiting and developing talent across career levels, managing employee resource groups, overseeing strategic relationships with organization and inclusion partners, extensive experience working with intern and entry-level programs, training managers in interviewing and hiring skills with a focus on diverse talent pools and developing and presenting curriculum to employers regarding unconscious bias.
Rob currently sits as an employer partner with the local Disability:IN affiliate Work Without Limits. He also is a member of the PIC’s Employer Network working on strategy around the Mayor’s Summer Jobs Campaign and Inclusion and Diversity for underrepresented communities. Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and master’s of divinity from the Gordon Conwell Seminary.
