Patti Catalano, MM, MT-BC, is a board–certified music therapist. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton in Ohio and master's in music from Colorado State University where she was trained in a neurological perspective on therapy. Her clinical internship was done at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she worked with children hospitalized for rehabilitation and acute medical problems. She recently retired from her positions at Music Works Northwest in Bellevue, Washington, where she managed the Music Therapy Program, and as an adjunct professor of music therapy at Seattle Pacific University. Her experience includes music therapy with children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities, children with autism, early intervention, older adults and geriatrics, adults with Alzheimer’s and dementia, pain management and oncology, and individuals with a variety of learning styles.
