My name is Jackie Whetzel. I am a West Virginia native living in Charlotte, North Carolina. I received my B.S. degree in Journalism from West Virginia University. In my career as a News Reporter, I have worked hard to bring attention to people and stories who need it the most in an effort to make a difference. I’ve been published in many national news publications. However, being afforded the opportunity to write for ADDitude really hits at home for me as I have a 6-year old daughter with ADHD. I’ve been meticulously trained by college professors and the editors and publishers I’ve worked for over the years to tell stories that people care about. For me, writing for ADDitude magazine is an honor, as I can personally relate to the moms, dads, grandparents and family members touched by someone with ADHD.
