Brittany Kramer is a special education teacher from New Jersey. She is passionate about teaching her students and likes hiking. She is active in the learning disability community mentoring and coaching other educators. She absolutely loves bulldogs – a love stemming from her childhood bulldog, Otis, who provided her with a safe and loving space. Literacy is her specialty and she is always learning innovative ways to teach children how to make sense of text and learn to read. She also writes and actively advocates in the learning disability and Asperger’s/NVLD community. Brittany also battles chronic immunological disorders and is extremely passionate about the holistic world.
Brittany uses her experiences to drive her desire to be exactly who she needed when she was younger, a compassionate and empathetic figure. She has been working in special education in some capacity since for over a decade, and was inspired to become a special educator by her high school math teacher. Struggling with chronic health issues and an undiagnosed Non-Verbal Learning Disorder has made her a more compassionate and empathetic person. Her ultimate goal is to become a private practice clinician specializing in the diagnosis and management of learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, trauma and NVLD.
