KEEP A COPY of your class schedule in a sheet protector.

Whether you use a binder for each subject or one binder for all subjects, PURCHASE POLY DIVIDERS THAT SLIP OPEN OR HAVE HORIZONTAL POCKETS. These dividers can separate subjects, and can also be used as in/out boxes for “homework to do” or “homework to hand in.”

PURCHASE A DESKTOP FILE BOX WITH HANGING FILES. Maintain a file for each of your classes, and place the papers you no longer need to carry in your binders in these hanging folders.

A GOOD TIME TO FILE PAPERS is after each unit and after the test on that unit.

PURCHASE ITEMS IN TRIPLICATE (when they are on sale at the beginning of the school year) – one for the backpack, an extra for your desk at home, and the third to go in a general supply closet. If you run out, you won’t have to run out to get more.
