Foods That Interfere

"Fatty foods seem to lessen the effects of my stimulant medication. Do you know of any other foods that do this?"

by Larry Silver, M.D.

Eating fatty foods just before or after taking medication can reduce your body's ability to absorb it and, thus, decrease the medication's impact.

I know of no other foods that affect AD/HD meds, but I encourage you to monitor yourself. Learn how the various foods that you eat might affect the benefits you get from your medication.
