"My Son Takes 8 Pills a Day!"Filed Under: ADHD Medication and Children
Q:
"Every time I take my son in for a checkup, his doctor seems to give him another pill. My son now takes two types of ADHD medications, plus six other pills to 'manage side effects.' Is this normal?"
A:
It is not normal. I encourage you to get a second opinion. Contact your local chapter of CHADD, and ask for a referral to an experienced doctor.
