Homeopathy for ADHD?

Q:

"A co-worker keeps urging me to take my son off ADHD medication and have him treated by a homeopathic doctor. Can homeopathy really help?"

A:

Homeopathic treatments have not been proven to help ADHD. If your co-worker is not a friend, you can say, "Thank you, but I accept the advice of my child's physician."

If she is a friend, you might say that you checked into homeopathy for ADHD and learned that there is no scientific evidence that proves it works.
